Rev. Todd Farnsworth

About Rev. Todd Farnsworth

Pastor · Writer · Briarcliff Manor, NY

Rev. Todd Farnsworth has served as a pastor in the United Church of Christ for over 38 years, cultivating a ministry grounded in inclusion, pastoral care, and finding the holy in the everyday. His writing and preaching build bridges between the lives people are living and the timeless hope of the Christian story.

The reflections in his devotionals emerged from his sermons and were first tested with his congregation and the wider community of Briarcliff Manor, New York—a beautifully diverse village where his pastoral heart has been shaped by deep interfaith respect. The response was immediate and personal. One community member wrote, “Thank you again for making a difference in my everyday life.” Others shared, “I like to look at the photo each day and wonder about the question,” and “I start each day with your devotional. I am grateful for you!” Church members celebrated the devotional's brevity, evocative photography, and open-ended questions as gifts that helped them experience Advent in new ways.

He lives in Westchester County, New York, where he continues to write, preach, and look for the sacred in ordinary moments. His sermons can be found on his church's YouTube channel and his occasional writings at toddfarnsworth.substack.com.

Rev. Farnsworth offers these devotionals free of charge. If, after reading through the entire season, you feel moved to make a small donation to his coffee and creation fund, he will raise a cuppa in gratitude.
